4. Do I have to live in East Islip to join? No, you can live in East Islip, Islip Terrace, or Great River.

5. Do I have to own a business to be a member? No, anyone working or living in East Islip, Islip Terrace, or Great River may join.

6. Where can I get an application to join? At www.eastislipcc.com , on the membership page.

7. What does your organization do? We run various activities and events to benefit not only our community, but to benefit several charities as well. We work together to make our community a better place to live and work.

8. Do I need to participate in all activities? No, whatever time you can offer is greatly appreciated.

9. Do I have to join before I can attend a meeting? No, you can attend any of our general meetings to get a sense of our organization before you join.

10. How long have you been established? Our organization began with a few business owners in late 2006.

11. What has your organization done to help our community so far? We have thus far collected coats for the needy, had a cell phone drive for the Coalition Against Domestic Violence, held a car wash, and hosted a Bowl-a-Thon to benefit the Boomer Esiason Foundation fighting Cystic Fibrosis.
