Message From The President

"Beginning in early 2007, several business owners in East Islip began asking a simple question," Why is there no organization working to promote the identity and benefits of East Islip?"

As we began to meet and set a plan in motion to address this concern, we were pleasantly surprised by a Newsday article that was headlined, "E. Islip named in list of top suburbs" (Newsday Friday, May 11, 2007).

The article cited five reasons why East Islip was the only community on Long Island named on the list. It seems we have a lot to offer, AND IT'S A WELL KEPT SECRET!

The East Islip Community Chamber along with the East Islip School District Interact Club is proud to organize a Cell Phone Drive for:

The Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

THE SUFFOLK COUNTY COALITION AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE dedicates all of its efforts to providing safety and support to family violence victims by offering preventative and supportive services. Incorporated in 1976 as a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization, OUR MISSION is "to assist and empower victims of domestic violence through provision of a wide range of services and to work toward the prevention of domestic violence."
